TROPICS TRAVEL HAMMOCK

$129.00
ColourFOREST GREEN

Tested in the wet season. Designed for downtime, The Tropics Hammock is part of our Remote Tropics collection - a nod to our origin story: a solo remote island-hopping trip through India with a surfboard, a hammock, and a trusty 1981 military-issued backpack.

Lightweight and packable, the Tropics Travel Hammock is made from 70D ripstop nylon and includes an integrated mozzie net—ideal for slinging between two palms or laying flat as a ground sheet when sleeping on the beach.

The royal blue carabiners are inspired by the vivid hues of the tropics - like the Azure Kingfisher or the striking Blue Quandong.

Details:

Made from 70D ripstop nylon, the Tropics Hammock measures 2.7m x 1.4m and features a mozzie net, YKK zippers, triple-stitched reinforced seams, and hammock tree straps.

Remote Tropics takes you beyond our sunburnt country and into faraway lands-where the afternoon storms roll in, the air hangs heavy, and the plan is no plan.

From Cape Tribulation to Bocas Del Toro, Santa Teresa to the Andaman Sea, this collection captures the feeling of long, humid days when the signal fades and time moves to the rhythm of the tide.

The smell of rain, Frogs and primates calling from the canopy. Balearic beats drifting through the heat. A hammock strung between two palms. Nowhere to be.

Gear shaped by weather and time. For slow travel, soft landings, and the art of doing nothing at all.

Remote. Offline.

FAQ

What makes Remote Projects gear different?

Remote Projects creates rugged, high-quality canvas goods designed for durability, inspired by the Australian landscape. Our products are built to last, using premium materials like waxed canvas and military-spec fabrics and hardware.

Where are your products made?

Our products are designed in Australia and manufactured in trusted factories in India depending on the product, we also make a limited run of gear right here in the Northern Rivers as part of our Workshop collection.

How do I care for my waxed canvas gear?

Avoid machine washing—just brush off dirt and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Re-wax occasionally to maintain water resistance.

Are your products waterproof?

Our products feature a waxed canvas outer layer that is water-resistant and can be reproofed for added waterproofing. They also have a tightly woven waterproof lining, making them highly water-resistant—apart from the seams. While our bags can hold water for a long time, they are not designed for full submersion like a dry bag.
