OUR STORY
Why can't I find gear made like this anymore?
Remote Projects was born from that one simple question.
Our Story
The idea for Remote Projects came to life on a solo, remote island-hopping journey through India's Andaman Islands with a surfboard, hammock, and a reliable 1981 military-issued backpack. That pack—weathered but unbeaten—showed me what real durability meant. It was built in an era when gear was made to last, not to be replaced. I returned home determined to build a brand rooted in the same quality materials, crafted for everyday use.
Our Mission
Our mission is to design rugged, useful products using quality, durable materials inspired by the wonder and vastness of Australia.
About the Company
Remote Projects is a family business based in Bangalow, NSW run by a husband and wife team, in the heart of the Northern Rivers, where mountains, rainforests, waterfalls, and winding rivers flow into the sea.
Our orders ship from our Ballina warehouse, with our Workshop range crafted here in Bangalow and the bulk of our products made by trusted partners in India.
